The Anti Classification League Works Outing, 1999
DAY THREE HUNDRED AND FORTY THREE. Mention needs to be made today about the passing of Norman Hetherington, creator of Mr Squiggle and beloved by many a square-eyed Australian child. For forty years, Mr Squiggle's gentle demeanour, upside down drawings inspired by the random markings sent in by his young audience, and ability to travel to the moon in a rather flimsy rocket gave us something beguiling that seems to be missing from modern television. "How's that, Miss Pat?"
